Protection status

The following protection statuses are displayed in ESET NetProtect:

Protection status for the entire account

The protection status for the entire account is displayed on the Overview tab.

Protection status

Description

Example Protection is active

All your services are configured properly, and protection is ensured.

Warning Protection paused

Protection for at least one service in your account is paused. Click the service with the Warning Not Protected status to find the recommendation below the protection status.

Warning Security risk

Your service provider turned off the protection for your account or service. Contact your service provider to activate the protection.

Important Attention required

At least one of your services needs attention.

Warning Services expired

Protection for at least one service in your account has expired. Click the service with the Warning Not Protected status to find the recommendation below the protection status.

Protection status of the network

A service's protection status is displayed in the network list.

Warning Protection paused

Your internet service provider has paused the protection.

Warning Protection paused

Protection has been paused for this service. You are no longer protected against malicious and unwanted websites.

Warning Protection paused

Protection is temporarily paused for this service and will be enabled after a certain period.

Warning Service expired

This service has expired and will be automatically deleted within a certain period. You are no longer protected.

Warning Malware Filter has been disabled

You have disabled the Malware Filter. You are no longer protected against websites containing malware.

Warning Phishing Filter has been disabled

You have disabled the Phishing Filter. You are no longer protected against phishing websites.

Warning Malware Filter and Phishing Filter have been disabled

You have disabled the Malware Filter and Phishing Filter. You are no longer protected against malicious websites.

Warning Malware Filter has been disabled by your internet service provider

Your internet service provider has disabled the Malware Filter. To enable it again, switch to custom web threat filters.

Warning Phishing Filter has been disabled by your internet service provider

Your internet service provider has disabled the Phishing Filter. To enable it again, switch to custom web threat filters.

Warning Malware Filter and Phishing Filter have been disabled by your internet service provider

Your internet service provider has disabled the Malware Filter and Phishing Filter. To enable them again, switch to custom web threat filters.

Important Potentially Unwanted Content Filter has been disabled

You have disabled the Potentially Unwanted Content Filter. You are no longer protected against websites containing potentially unwanted content. See Protection settings to enable protection.

Important Potentially Unwanted Content Filter has been disabled by your internet service provider

Your internet service provider has disabled the Potentially Unwanted Content Filter. To enable it again, switch to custom web threat filters. See Protection settings to enable protection.

Important An advanced category is blocked in the Web Content Filter

Blocking an advanced category in the Web Content Filter can make web services and smart devices ineffective. We recommend allowing these categories.

Important Device needs attention

One of your mobile devices needs attention. See the linked devices to solve the issue.

Note New device linked

A new device has been linked to your service. Was this you? If yes, ignore this message. If it was not you, unlink the device.

Note Web Content Filter not working properly

To apply the Web Content Filter categories you have set up, you must first enable the Web Content Filter.

Note Filter Scheduler not set up correctly

You have set up the Filter Scheduler for Secure Search, but have not selected any time slots. Select time slots to enable the Filter Scheduler.

Note No linked devices yet

To protect your mobile device, download the ESET NetProtect app and link the device to your service.
